Meet Kerry
I’m Kerry, founder of Thrive Within Hub, and I genuinely believe that people are capable of far more healing, growth and transformation than they often realise.
My passion for this work is deeply personal. Life has given me experiences that have challenged me and taught me the importance of resilience, compassion and having the right support alongside you. I have been a single mum, I’m a mother of five and a grandmother of two, and I have supported my husband of 16 years through addiction and significant mental health challenges.
Through these experiences, I have witnessed firsthand the courage, vulnerability, setbacks and determination that real change can require. I’ve also had the privilege of watching transformation happen. Seeing my husband move from addiction and significant mental health struggles to becoming an ultra-marathon runner has reinforced something I believe deeply: our past does not have to determine our future.
Change is possible. Healing is possible. And sometimes, feeling completely lost can be the beginning of finding your way forward.
My Approach
At the heart of my approach is the belief that people are not broken. Life experiences, trauma, addiction, relationships, grief, stress and mental health challenges can shape the way we think, feel and behave. Sometimes, the patterns we develop are simply ways we have learned to cope or survive.
I believe that when we begin to understand ourselves, process what we have experienced and reconnect with who we are, we can create space for different choices and new possibilities.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Root Cause Therapist, with training and experience in counselling, root cause therapy, embodied processing, manifesting, trauma-informed coaching, mental health, and alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
My approach considers the whole person – including thoughts, emotions, experiences, beliefs, behaviours and the body. I offer a safe, compassionate, honest and non-judgemental space where you don't have to pretend that everything is okay.
Whether you are navigating your own mental health, addiction or recovery, carrying the impact of trauma, feeling overwhelmed or stuck in unhealthy patterns, or supporting someone you love, you don't have to navigate it alone.
Space to Thrive
As a mum and grandmother, I understand the complexities of family life, the pressure of trying to hold everything together and how deeply we want the people we love to thrive. I also know that sometimes having someone outside of our immediate world to sit beside us, without judgement, can make all the difference.
That is the space I want to create through Thrive Within Hub – a place where you can be seen, heard and understood.
My hope is that the people I work with begin to recognise that they are more than what has happened to them. Your past may have shaped you, but it doesn't have to define you.
You don't have to change everything overnight. Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to take the first step within.
